Totally Chocolate

Totally Chocolate, a custom chocolate manufacturer in Blaine, Wash., can put just about anything on a bar of chocolate. And from corporate logos to newspaper front pages — they have done it all.The business was originally established by Jeff Robinson in 1989 down in Los Angeles. After several years Mr. Robinson relocated his business to Blaine area, where he currently has two plants.Initially, Robinson had a publishing business where he produced repair manuals, but one day while shopping in Pennsylvania he noticed a giant five-pound Hershey’s chocolate bar, which he brought back home and sent to some of his clients. He received so many positive responses that he decided to put his name on the chocolate and make it a regular gift for his clients.“The reaction was so strong that he eventually sold the publishing business and start this business (Totally Chocolate),” said Ken Strong, president and CEO at Totally Chocolate. This month, as part of our Made in Whatcom County series and in the spirit of chocolate’s favorite holiday — Valentine’s Day, The Bellingham Business Journal presents a multimedia presentation of Totally Chocolate.
